Day 1 of the 6 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari: Arrival at the airport in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, formerly known as Kanombe Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will brief you about your safari and transfer you to your hotel for relaxation after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of Kigali, Rwanda’s clean and vibrant capital city.

After breakfast, embark on a Kigali city tour where you may visit important sites including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, museums, local markets, and other cultural attractions that provide insight into Rwanda’s history and remarkable transformation.

After lunch, begin the scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.
